Are you looking for a way to hide your website while you're working on it? There are currently no options to create a dedicated under construction, maintenance or coming soon page. We recommend one of the following three options:
Add a Site-Wide Password to hide your website
Unpublish your website
Keep only your Homepage online
Option 1: Add a Site-Wide Password
One way to hide your website is to add a Site-Wide Password. To do this, follow the steps below:
Go to your Website dashboard
Then click on Settings icon > Advanced
Enter a password into Site-Wide Password
Hit Publish to publish your changes
With a the site-wide password setup, only visitors with the password will be able to access pages on your website. You can learn more here: Privacy Options for your Website
Option 2: Unpublish your website
If you're not ready to show off your website, you can also consider unpublishing your website all together. To do this, follow the steps below:
Go to your Website dashboard
Then click on Settings icon > Advanced
Click on the Unpublish Site button
With the site unpublished, your website will be taken offline. Visitors will be see a Page Not Found page as if your website does not exist.
Option 3: Keep only your Homepage online
You could consider changing the visibility of all pages on your site to 'Offline' with the exception of your homepage containing your under construction or maintenance information.
Add your custom under construction message to the homepage of your website.
Take other pages offline by hovering over the page name in the left hand side builder panel and clicking More (...) > Settings
Under 'Page Visibility' toggle this to 'Offline'
Repeat for all pages
Publish your site
Your visitors will now only see the homepage with your under construction message. All other pages will be offline. You can now continue working on your site in the background. Once you're ready to go live, you can publish the changes.
