If you have Photo Download turned on for your client’s Collection, they can download image files directly to their mobile device. Depending on what you choose to offer from the Download Settings, they can download the whole gallery or individual photos. In this guide, we will show you the client experience and the available download options for each.

Gallery downloads provide the entire Collection as a single download. This can be delivered either as a .ZIP file or by using one of the supported cloud-based services listed below (Google Photos or Dropbox). If they choose to download directly to their device, a direct download link will be sent to the email address they provide so that they do not need to wait on the same page while the download link is generated.

For .ZIP downloads, the file will be delivered to your client’s device, and from there they can extract the image files. How to do this will vary depending on your client’s device - there are instructions for unzipping files in iOS here, and for Android devices here.

To initiate a gallery download, your client can:

Single photo downloads allow clients to download individual photos from the Collection. These files can be downloaded directly to their device, or by using one of the supported cloud-based services listed below (Google Photos or Dropbox). If you have Single Photo Download Email Tracking turned On, clients can enter their email address and PIN to initiate the first download. They will not be required to re-enter this information for subsequent single photo downloads. To initiate the download, your client can:

Your clients can also choose if they would like to download their photos to a cloud service - both Google Photos and Dropbox are supported in Pixieset. They can simply select their preferred service while downloading. Doing so will prompt them sign in with their existing credentials, and add the photos to their Google Photos/Dropbox account!
