Connecting a payment method

Accept online payments through Stripe and PayPal, and offline payments.

In order to accept payments and enable your checkout, you must have at least one payment method connected. You can choose to accept payments through Stripe (credit card), PayPal, offline payments, or a combination of these.

Connect a payment method

You will be able to connect a payment method in the Store application's settings.

Steps:

  1. From your dashboard, go to Store > Settings.

  2. Go to Payment Methods.

  3. Click Get Started for the payment methods you wished to connect.

Stripe (credit card)

Stripe is a quick and secure way to accept credit and debit cards online for your Store. By connecting Stripe, you will be able to accept the following:

  • Visa (credit and debit cards)

  • MasterCard (credit and debit cards)

  • American Express

  • Discover (US merchants only)

  • Apple Pay (on supported devices)

Processing fee

Generally, Stripe charges a processing fee of 2.9% + $0.30 for each transaction. This rate may vary based on your country.

PayPal

Connecting your PayPal business account will enable PayPal Express Checkout for your clients, allowing them to pay with their PayPal account balance, various credit cards and debit cards. Your clients will be directed to a PayPal checkout page to complete their payment. Note that you must have a PayPal business account (either a Pro or a Standard account) in order to use PayPal.

Processing fee

Generally, PayPal charges a processing fee of 2.99% - 3.45% + $0.49 USD for each transaction. This rate may vary based on your country and the type of PayPal account you have.

Offline payment

The Offline Payment feature allows you to arrange alternative payment methods directly with your client; such as cash, cheque, email money transfer, etc. If you offer Offline Payment, your clients will be able to complete the checkout process without submitting an online payment. You are responsible for arranging payment with your clients directly offline. Note that offline payment is only available if you have any upgraded account.
