The Preview function gives you the ability to see what any changes will look like before publishing them on your live site. This allows you to navigate the menu and view your website just like a visitor would.

On this page:

How to preview your website

Simply select the grey Preview button at the bottom of your Builder Panel. This will open up a display of your site with all up-to-date changes, even if they haven't been published yet.

Previews for different devices

To make your website as user-friendly as possible, you can preview what your site will look like on desktop, mobile and tablet devices. To switch between the different views, click on the device icon at the top of your Preview page.

Note: Most blocks are automatically reformatted for each device. If you want more customization, you can use Flex Blocks that have additional editing tools for each device type. You can read more on optimizing Flex Blocks for different devices here.

Previewing Custom Code

If you have a Pro Website/Suite plan, you can add third party code to your website. Testing and previewing code can be different compared to regular content blocks.

Custom Embed Code Blocks allow you to add code to a specific location of your website such as adding a contact form. Once you’ve added your code, simply turn on the Safe Preview toggle to see how it looks.

You can also test these blocks in the regular Preview mode.

Custom header/footer code is code that can be added across all pages on your website such as tracking tags or pop-ups. This code code cannot function in the editing dashboard so if you want to test it, simply publish your website and view the live site.

Can I view or share my published site privately?

You may wish to view the full published website before it’s publicly visible or share it with someone privately. In this case, you can add a Site-Wide Password. Adding a password ensures you can publish your website and keep it hidden from the public and search engines.

When you’re ready to go live, simply remove the password and republish to make your website available to the world.
