Adding links to your website

Add links anywhere on your site pages to direct visitors to other relevant webpages.

You can add links almost anywhere on your website to direct visitors to relevant site pages. Pixieset Website supports a wide range of links including menu links, text links, and integrated client gallery links.

On this page:

Menu links

You can add a link for any external webpage to your website’s menu. This is a simple and prominent way to direct visitors to a key page associated with your business, like your booking site. To add a menu link:

  1. Click +Add Page > Link.

  2. Name and paste the direct link. Then, click Create.

Text links

Most text elements on your pages can be turned into hyperlinks. Using text links can make it easier for visitors to navigate through relevant webpages. To add a text link:

  1. Highlight the text you want to hyperlink.

  2. Click Link in the toolbar, and paste the direct link.

Image links

Like text links, you can transform most images on your site into links to webpages. This is helpful if you want to direct visitors to a related webpage, like a portfolio gallery. To turn an image into a link:

  1. Click to edit the image.

  2. Under On Click, select Link and paste the direct link.

Client gallery links

If you want to showcase links to your collections, you can easily add a client gallery block to any page, such as your site’s client area. Learn more about client gallery blocks here. To add this block:

  1. Hover between two content blocks and click the green + icon that appears.

  2. Go to the Client Gallery category and select any layout.

Tip: By default, client gallery blocks will display all your published, public collections. You can display collections under a specific category tag instead by clicking directly onto the block.

Email address links

Email addresses can be easily set up as links on your website. Any visitor clicking on an email link will be taken to their primary email client, and a draft email will be created with you as the recipient. To add an email link:

  1. Click or highlight to edit your link.

  2. Format your email address as mailto:myemail@domain.com.

Phone number links

You can add a link to your phone number on any site page so visitors can call or text the number (depending on their device’s permissions).

  1. Click or highlight to edit your link.

  2. Paste tel: followed by your number, including your country code and area code as applicable.

    • For US users, this would appear as tel:+1XXXXXXXXXX

    • For UK users, this would appear as tel:+44XXXXXXXXXX

Anchor links

Anchor links are a great way to improve the ease of your site’s navigation. They allow visitors to easily navigate between different sections of your site’s pages by clicking on links in your site’s menu or within the content itself.

Troubleshooting

I can’t find the web address of a page.

There are a few ways to retrieve a page’s web address so you can link it:

  • Hyperlinked text, images, and certain content blocks allow you to link to another page without pasting required. Next to the URL field, click Select Page and choose one of your site pages.

  • In the site builder, click ••• > Settings next to the page. You can locate your page’s link under the SEO section.

  • If your site is already published, you can also always view the page the same way a visitor would and copy the link from the browser.

My direct link is broken.

A direct link can break if the webpage is removed or changes its web address. If this happens, you can run an audit in your SEO Manager to locate any links that may have broken as a result.
